Being a girl and liking sports has been one of the best (and worst) things to ever happen. It's a pretty unlikely combination that sends any guy's brain into overdrive of pure confusion. While the odds are stacked against any girl liking sports, there are a few things that we have grown wearisome of hearing. Of course we don't know how many yards were passed by Brett Favre in 1996 or who won the World Series in 1975 (Cincinnati Reds, thank you Google). So, I've came up with a few ideas as to why girls don't know every stat of every player:

1. Most girls don't play video games like Madden NFL, NBA 2K, or NHL 98.
2. Usually we aren't part of a fantasy league that requires knowledge from a previous season to draft the perfect player.
3. Sporting events call for cute outfits, cute guys and beer. Not 50 questions about why we like the team.

The constant need to justify and validate why we are so interested in sports has become exhausting. I've created a list of things girls who love sports never want to hear again.

"Name Five Players on the Team"

I will happily name five players on the team, while I'm at it I'll only name the ones I think are hot just to annoy you.

"I've Never Met Anyone Like You"

You mean to tell me that you have never met another girl who loves watching football, basketball, hockey, baseball or soccer? NEVER? You should probably get out more.

"Your Boyfriend Must Be So Lucky"

Yes, he is in fact lucky. Not just because I love hockey, beer, wings and pizza BUT because I am educated, driven, freaking hilarious and cute. Obviously, my BF will take interest in sports because it's something that we can share together. (I'm totally single but it needed to be relatable...)

"I'm Kinda Impressed"

Well you should be.

"Do You Actually Like Sports or Are You Trying To Be a Bro?"

I'm hoping that the countless time, money, blood, sweat and tears (dramatic, I know) really prove that I want to have a bro down throw down. Yes, I actually like sports.

"You Don't Look Like You Would Watch Sports"

Just because my hair, makeup, nails and brows are always put together perfectly does not mean that I won't chirp at players and yell at the TV when a ref makes a bad call.

"Are You Even Paying Attention to the Game?"

Yes... I was... But the lighting was perfect for a selfie...
